Getting Ready for My Trip: Texas Bound!

**Getting Ready for My Trip: Texas Bound!**

Texas, here I come! I'm so excited to embark on my next adventure, and I can't wait to explore everything that the Lone Star State has to offer. But before I hit the road, there are a few things I need to do to get ready.

**1. Book my flights and accommodation.** (Done)

I've already started doing my research on flights and hotels, and I'm happy to say that I've found some great deals. I'm flying into Houston and staying in the city for a 1 days before heading to San Antonio. As I have lived there for about 5 years, I'm really looking forward to exploring both cities again, and visiting my daughter and soaking up the Texas culture.

**2. Get a Texas eSIM.**

I'm planning to use my phone while I'm in Texas, so I need to get an eSIM. An eSIM is a digital SIM card that you can install on your phone without having to replace the physical SIM card. I've been doing some research on eSIM providers, and I've found a few that offer great deals for Texas travelers.

Holafly.com

I first contacted Alejo from Holafly.com in a chat. And explained what I am looking for. And told about my trip.  There plan was 69 euro for a Month. Little to high. Could get a discount of 5 euro ?

Will send them also a affiliate request and hope they get back to me to support my trip !  But maybe I will go for this one. Till now it looks as this is the best for a Month. Anybody better advice ?

UPDATE 11-02-2024 : Airalo Did not hear back from Holafly, so I decided to look for something else as it turns out is was pretty expensive anyway. Found this : Airalo and if you use code AEBE0877 then you get 3 dollar of your first pack! Will tell how I like it during the trip.

But will keep looking for a other company for now. So will concentrate on other things first.

Looking for the e-sim is done. Have now a dataplan with this and hope this will work good. Will keep you updated on this as well. One week to go before my trip. So see how it works.

I hope that I be sure to activate my eSIM before I leave so that I can be connected as soon as I arrive!

**3. Pack my bags.**

Packing is always the most stressful part of any trip, but I'm determined to make it as easy as possible this time. I've created a packing list and I'm planning to pack as little as possible this time.

ONLY HAND LUGGAGE! (Not sure if I will do this ! Would you !)

Can official take with me a suitcase as well till 23 Kg. But if I need it on the way back I do that.

But last experiance in 2022 I had to wait a long time when landed by bagage claim. Did not like that part.

So, pakking only clothes and essentials in advance.

**4. Do I need to get vaccinations.**

I'm not sure what the vaccination requirements are for Texas, so I'll be sure to check with my doctor before I leave. I'll also get a few other things, like a travel adapter and a first-aid kit.

I'm so excited to start planning my trip and I can't wait to share my adventures with you all!

Stay tuned for more updates! Will also make video updates soon on my channel as well !
